Void Space Fill, Self Watering System
Atlantis Flo-Tanks/Flo-Cells are ideal for creating a lightweight void space fill for Raised Garden Beds. It is also capable to store excessive water run down from the Raised Garden Bed at the same time, water evaporates and nutrients directly to your plants’ roots, less leaf burn and healthier plants.
This allows for extended time away from home with the peace of mind that your valuable plants will continue to thrive in your absence!
How to set up Water Wise Raised Garden Bed
Build the D.I.Y. Raised Garden Bed first, assemble the Flo-Tanks/Flo-Cells, wrap the geotextile around the Flo-Tanks/Flo-Cells and tape it down, then wrap the liner outside of the geotextile and tape it down, but keep the top covered with geotextile only.
Place one layer of geotextile on top of prepared garden bed ground to prevent the liner direct contact sharp rocks.
Place the wrapped Flo-Tanks/Flo-Cells inside the Raised Garden Bed, keep the geotextile side up, fill the gaps with washed river sand between the Flo-Tanks/Flo-Cells and Rasied Garden Bed, also pour a minimum of 50mm washed river sand on top of the Flo-Tanks/Flo-Cells for infiltration. Finally, fill up the prepared organic growing media on top of the sand.
Now, you are ready to plant.
